Landcare Network
Are you interested in working outdoors and making a difference to the environment? Landcare Network is offering students experience in conservation and environmental outdoor activities aimed at conserving our natural resources. Students will be involved in a range of activities from weed identification and eradication, planting, fencing, conservation work and learning about the importance of ecological sites. Students may also be involved in horticulture work at the Community Garden known as The Patch.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Students to learn about landcare and conservation.
Students to travel to field sites to undertake a range of duties including, tree planting, weed removal, fencing, identification of species.
Students need to be prepared to get their hands dirty as the job is very hands on.
Student Requirements
Students to complete safe@work modules and permission to travel form
Students to BYO lunch, snacks and water for the whole day.
Students to BYO toilet paper and hand sanitizer as no toilets at site.
BYO garden gloves
Students to prepare 3 questions about landcare, conservation careers and significance of Red Hill State Forest
Dress Requirements
Wear sturdy closed toed shoes (work boots ideal)
Wear pants and shirts suitable for outside garden work.
Bring hat, sunscreen and coat
