Typical Tasks & Duties
The student may undertake the following tasks, but not limited to, site cleaning, handling carpentry materials, use of carpentry tools and equipment – hand tools, (any use of power tools will be under supervision), carry out setting out, levelling carry out measurement and calculations, construct framing, skirting, fixing out, OHS requirements, manual handling demolition, concrete preparation, temporary fencing erection and scaffold erection. Specific task will be dependent on the project and the students capabilities.
Student Requirements
The student must be willing to remove all jewellery and piercing or cover up where able, this is an OHS requirement.
The student is also required to only use their phone during scheduled breaks, unless authorised. Student is required to pack their lunch and bring a water bottle.
Dress Requirements
Students must wear safety work boots, high visible shirt, sunsmart hat/cap
PPE - Personal Protective Equipment will be handed out as required.
Special Transport Requirements
To arrive at the office - 113 Vaughan St Shepparton prior to 7-20 am . Student will leave with applicable supervisor who will return to the office at end time of approximately 4-15 pm.
