Bay2Bay Rendering is a highly skilled & specialist interior & exterior rendering across the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. They offer cement, acrylic & solid plaster rendering or polystyrene cladding options.
Working with qualified tradespeople, you will gain valuable, practical, real-world experience in the workplace. Students will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the business. This placement will provide you with a range of opportunities to develop your skills while working alongside experienced industry tradespeople.

Typical Tasks & Duties
During your placement, you may undertake the following:
- Stack, store general organisation and inventory of materials
- Learn about and observe the quotation process
- learn and observe estimating process
- Locate key features of a site plan as well as from sectional details and elevations.
- Loading and unloading materials and tools into work vehicles
- Prepare the construction process for wall and floor tiling, solid plastering, drywall plastering, brick and block laying.
- Use hand tools
- Perform basic brick & bock laying.
- Labour for trades on site, given suitable supervision.
- Learn to be part of the team while observing and using OH&S policies & procedures pertinent to the work place.
- Clean site equipment under supervision
- Apply safe handling and use of plant and power tools
- Customer Service skills
Student Requirements
Some employers have specific requirements relating to student placements. These may include sending in a resume, gaining parental permission for the student to travel with employer and attending an OH&S induction.
Please discuss with the employer at least interview prior to the placement start date to see if there are any additional requirements.
Dress Requirements
Most employers will have an expectation on what is appropriate dress or a requirement (such as safety or uniform) for the workplace. Please ask the employer for details relating to any dress and protective clothing requirements prior to the placement commencement date.
Special Transport Requirements
Students to make their own transport arrangements.
