Typical Tasks & Duties
Seymour Health provides a comprehensive Work Experience program for secondary school students.
The Program involves a 5-day rotation through different areas of the facility observing activity across multiple areas including Aged-care Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Support Group and others.
Prior to being offered a work experience placement you will need to apply for a placement by sending your resume and a brief outline of why you wish to complete your work experience at Seymour Health. You will then be contacted to discuss your application. Please do this well in advance of your preferred placement.
To access the program students must also obtain a “Work Experience Arrangement Form” from their Careers Advisor and arrange for its completion. This can easily be completed on this Central Ranges Portal once Seymour Health has conducted your phone interview and given you dates. Your Careers Practitioner at your school can put the dates into this opportunity and print out the pre filled out form.
