Neurodiverse Work Experience Program
This new program provides students with the opportunity to:
• Gain meaningful, supported workplace experience.
• Develop employability skills in a real-world environment.
• Build confidence and explore potential career pathways.
The program has been designed to ensure students feel supported throughout the experience and gain valuable skills and knowledge in the different fields of work.

Skills You Might Learn

Student will be inducted on the first day, introduced to staff and have clear information about the work experience expectations for the time they are Onsight.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Observe and learn about the daily operations of the workplace.
Assist staff with basic tasks relevant to the workplace, under supervision.
Engage with employees to gain insights into workplace culture, roles, and career pathways.
Develop practical skills such as communication, teamwork, organisation, and presentation skills.
Practice safe work habits, following all workplace health and safety guidelines.

Student Requirements

To attend placement and the WTS to satisfactorily complete the work placement expectations.

Dress Requirements

Appropriate PPE required- steel capped boots/ high vis vests.

Special Transport Requirements

Travel expectations provided to the student- parent/guardian or public transport.
