Skills You Might Learn

Primarily you would learn about communication with the team to get the job done safely. You would also experience working in a range of locations, mostly outside and in changing weather conditions.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students would be assigned to a dedicated crew working on a specific project for the day. You would be expected to assist with concrete boxing work, paving, work with various tools and equipment, traffic management and OH&S responsibilities.

Student Requirements

Students must have a Construction Induction Card. Students must have a genuine interest in the industry and be enrolled in a construction course and/or VCAL. Students must want to learn and enjoy work outdoors.

Dress Requirements

Students must wear steel capped boots, high vis vest and comfortable work clothes - no loose fitting clothing.

Special Transport Requirements

Student to provide own transport to depot
