Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain: an understanding of electrical and data processes, measuring and calculating skills, wiring and cutting skills, knowledge of appropriate tools, on site teamwork and communication skills.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students completing a placement here can expect to carry out: running and tying electric and data cables, installing cable trays, working with related materials, cutting holes, overhead mains line working skills, using appropriate hand/power tools, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Student Requirements
Students will require a strong interest in working in the electrical transmission industry and demonstrate enthusiasm and a preparedness to learn.
