Skills You Might Learn

You will gain industry specific learning about products, measurement and calculations, using a variety of tools and equipment and importantly; work placement skills such as; communication, time management, following instructions, problem solving and demonstrating initiative.

Typical Tasks & Duties

You will gain a well rounded introduction to the construction industry; the placement will commence with a comprehensive induction with a focus on safety at work. You will have the opportunity to be involved all aspects of work site activity depending on stage.

Student Requirements

Students must be enthusiastic, show initiative and a willingness to learn. Students enrolled in VETDSS will be supported in their learning.

Dress Requirements

Safety clothing and hi viz required at workplace.

Special Transport Requirements

Make own arrangements.
May be supported by crew during the placement
