WE placement available with Rapid Tune Carrum Downs with days and dates to be negotiated between student/teacher and employer based on requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for students with a keen interest to gain experience and knowledge in the automotive service and repairs industry. Students will gain experience in a range of tasks, including changing oil and filters, checking and maintaining tyre pressures, working on brakes, and other general repairs.

Typical Tasks & Duties

>Changing oil & air filters
>Check tyre pressure, assist with rotations, and replacing tyres.
>Checking and topping up fluid levels.
>Maintaining a clean & safe working environment.
>Communicating with customers to assist with their service and spare part requirements.
>Other general safety checks as directed.
>Assist with cleaning workshop and keeping free from rubbish and spills.

Student Requirements

•Genuine interest in the automotive trade.
•Punctuality, hardworking attitude, ability to take direction.
•Initiative and ability to get along with others.
•Willingness to learn and develop skills necessary for automotive maintenance and repair

Dress Requirements

Long sleeves, long pants - appropriate protective work wear
Reinforced toe work boots - not soft toe, steel-capped preferred

Special Transport Requirements

Easily accessible by PTV - Route 833 and 901 bus travels along Frankston-Dandenong Road and stops within walking distance of workshop.
