Student Requirements

Students wishing to undertake work experience at Robinvale Meats must meet the following requirements:

• Be a student in Years 9–12 and approved for work experience by their school
• Completed work experience paperwork and parental/guardian consent
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and hygiene rules at all times
• Willingness to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Enclosed, non-slip footwear and appropriate clothing as advised by the employer
• Good personal hygiene and a positive attitude toward learning
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate respectfully
• Punctuality, reliability, and professional behaviour throughout the placement
• Compliance with age-appropriate duties and safety requirements

These requirements help ensure a safe, productive, and valuable learning experience for both students and staff.

Dress Requirements

Students must wear appropriate clothing at all times to meet construction site safety and professional standards. The following dress requirements apply:

• Enclosed, sturdy footwear (preferably steel‑capped safety boots; no sandals or open shoes)
• Long pants (no shorts, skirts, or loose clothing)
• Long‑sleeved shirt to protect from sun and site hazards
• Clothing must be clean, neat, and suitable for an active butcher environment
• Long hair must be tied back, and minimal jewellery is to be worn
• No offensive logos, inappropriate graphics, or revealing clothing

Students who do not meet dress requirements may be refused site entry for safety reasons

Special Transport Requirements

Students are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the workplace each day. Transport plans should be organised in advance to ensure punctual attendance.
