Global Rotomoulding are offering a School‑Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SBAT) opportunity as a Production Worker in the MANUFACTURING industry.

Prior to applying for this SBAT, students must:
○ Be enrolled in, or willing to enrol in, a relevant VET qualification, such as Certificate II in Engineering Studies, with progression into a related apprenticeship pathway (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade).
○ Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking paid employment, structured training, and school studies concurrently as part of the SBAT program.
For Year 10 students, have successfully completed one year of Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) in a relevant engineering or manufacturing setting.

While participating in this SBAT, students are expected to:
○ Demonstrate an interest in the manufacturing industry and strong communication skills.
○ Be willing to undertake tasks as directed and spend time learning through observation and practical participation.
○ Dress appropriately for a manufacturing environment.
○ Show initiative, maintain engagement, and participate in all assigned duties.
○ Behave in a respectful, responsible, and professional manner.
○ Be punctual and reliable.
○ Follow supervisor and management instructions at all times.
○ Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
○ Work effectively as part of a team.
○ Listen to and act on guidance from experienced workers.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Designing a product is a meticulous process that combines creativity, strategy, and functionality. At the core of crafting custom plastic products is a simple belief: plastic offers unparalleled potential compared to other materials.
Students undertaking this SBAT may perform the following tasks and duties:
○ Assist in the rotational moulding process used to create durable, hollow plastic products, including tanks and industrial components.
○ Support basic material handling tasks, such as preparing and moving raw materials and assisting with mould preparation.
○ Participate in machine operations under supervision, including monitoring rotational moulding ovens and equipment for correct heating cycles and product formation.
○ Contribute to quality checks on finished products, assisting with visual inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
○ Follow and apply safe workplace practices, including correct use of PPE and safe handling of equipment and materials.
○ Assist with basic assembly and finishing tasks, including preparing moulded components and supporting secondary production processes.
○ Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with workplace safety and production requirements.
○ Gain hands-on experience across the full manufacturing process, from concept through to completed product.
○ Work as part of a team, developing communication and collaboration skills to meet production timelines and targets.
Develop an understanding of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) processes, including producing custom components for industries such as agriculture, civil infrastructure, transport, and industrial applications.

Dress Requirements
Students are required to be well presented, clean, and maintain appropriate hygiene standards at all times. The following dress standards apply:
○ Neat and professional workwear must be worn.
○ Safety boots or approved steel-capped safety footwear are required.
○ Flat, enclosed, non-slip footwear must be worn at all times.
Clothing must be appropriate for a workplace environment and must not display images, symbols, or messages that may be considered offensive.
