Aesthetic Nails & Beauty, located in Noble Park, is a professional nail and beauty salon offering a range of services including nail treatments, manicures, pedicures, Gel-X extensions, builder gel, nail art, eyelash services, and other beauty treatments.
Students will only participate in activities that are appropriate to their age, experience, and competency level. All placement activities will be determined by the employer in consultation with the student's Careers Practitioner/Pathways Coordinator and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
This placement provides students with the opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of a professional nail and beauty salon, develop an understanding of the beauty industry, and gain valuable workplace skills in a client-focused environment.
This opportunity is ideal for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Nail Technology, Beauty Services, or are currently undertaking a Certificate III in Beauty Services.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Learn about professional salon operations and workplace expectations.
Observe nail and beauty services being performed by qualified staff.
Gain an understanding of nail care, salon hygiene, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
Assist with general salon duties, including preparing treatment areas, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the salon environment is ready for clients.
Learn about customer service, client communication, and professional workplace interactions.
Observe nail services such as manicures, pedicures, Gel-X, builder gel, nail enhancements, and nail art techniques.
Support the salon team with appropriate tasks as directed by the employer.
Develop an understanding of product knowledge, salon organisation, and maintaining professional standards.
Any participation in practical activities will depend on the student’s skills, training, age, and competency level and will always be completed under appropriate supervision.

Neat casual clothing suitable for a professional salon environment.
Closed-toe shoes.
Appropriate personal presentation and good personal hygiene.
Clothing that allows safe movement and complies with workplace expectations.
