This is a busy engineering business. It has been operating for quite a few years. The workplace is busy and staff are friendly.This is an ideal placement for a student with a farming slant who is keen to learn engineering skills.They will certainly be exposed to a variety of engineering projects.

Skills You Might Learn

Students may apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials. They will use hand tools to assist in a job while being supervised.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be involved in repairing farm machinery. They may also use hand tools to assist in a job. Mainly the student will assist other staff in their roles. Workshop maintenance and tidying of tools and materials will be part of the workday as well.

Student Requirements

Students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Dress must be neat casual suited to the workplace and this includes sturdy work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students make their own way to work as there is no public transport.
