In this placement students will have the chance of hands-on practical experience in business administration and reception in a busy club environment. As well they will be observing and learning from qualified and experienced professionals. Club management is very supportive of the School to Work program and staff are friendly. Students will be operating in a modern and professional workplace. This is a great opportunity to learn about working life in the reception and administration areas.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will learn skills around workplace communication and customer service. They will also gain experience of administrative procedures relevant to the role.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Tasks will be around assisting other employees in their roles and the student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. They will work as part of a team while under regular supervision.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VM or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place.
Special Transport Requirements
Students may need to organise their own transport to work as there is no public transport to Murray Downs.
