Through this employer students will be trained in all aspects of garden maintenance, tool use and care, horticultural practice and customer service. There may also be the potential for suitable and interested young people to progress to an ongoing role of Gardening Apprentice – Parks and Gardens at the completion of the SWL. Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain valuable experience in the industry and be exposed to specialised tasks such as garden maintenance, tool use and care, horticultural practice and customer service. Other skills that students will have the chance to build include teamwork, following instructions and developing organisation and time management strategies.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will work with experienced staff and be trained in all aspects of garden maintenance, tool use and care, horticultural practice and customer service. Other tasks will include assisting in clean up and maintaining a safe working environment. Students will work as part of a small team and have a can do attitude. The work can be hard and fast paced work, so you must be fit.

Student Requirements

Students must be Punctual, able to listen, follow instructions and learn. References Essential. Police check for working with the elderly required and full covid vaccination and certificate essential.
The work place is a a non smoking environment at all times.

Dress Requirements

Long Pants, strong covered footwear.

Special Transport Requirements

This location is best reached by car.
