This new small retailer is proud to offer an exciting SWL placement to an enthusiastic student. This SWL opportunity enables students to experience a retail environment, assist customers and work as part of a supportive team. They specialize in vintage items and antiques. Skills You Might Learn

As part of this placement students are likely to expand on their understanding of merchandising, customer service skills, point of sale, teamwork, safety practices in Retail and communication skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During this SWL placement students will be involved in customer service, observing EFTPOS transactions, stock replenishment, visual merchandising, unpacking, and storage. Students can expect to gain exposure to working with a range of different tasks and responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and shows a willingness to learn. Punctuality is important. See Dress Requirements for further information.

Dress Requirements

Students will be required to dress in semi casual attire. No ripped denim. enclosed footwear.

Special Transport Requirements

The employer requests that students are reminded to call the supervisor for a conversation at least two weeks prior to placement. Students are asked to notify employer if unable to attend; to ensure that the SWL form is signed by all parties well before a placement begins, with the original form kept at the school and a copy sent to the employer.
