First Nations Banking Traineeship | ANZ - Please note that you must identify as First Nations to be eligible for this role.

If you are looking to kickstart your career within a professional environment and the opportunity to earn while you learn and continue at school look no further! Maxima, in partnership with ANZ, are looking for motivated year 10 First Nations students to undertake a school-based traineeship in customer service at at ANZ, completing either a Certificate III in Business or a Certificate II in Workplace Skills.

A School Based trainee will be required to work/study on average 13 hours per week, all of which is fully paid. There are no costs for training.

As a trainee, you you will learn how to:
• Welcome and greet customers
• Provide exceptional customer service and a positive branch experience
• Educate customers on digital solutions and self-service technology
• Complete transaction activities
• Work collaboratively within a team
• Follow-up customer enquiries, asking for help where required

Skills You Might Learn

You will work one day per week (and complete your study on another day), as part of a team alongside experienced branch staff and gain hands-on work experience to develop a range of skills and knowledge in the industry. You can start on a pathway to a career in customer service and banking by learning banking skills and gaining formal training. On top of this, you will also receive achieve a nationally recognised Certificate II in Workplace skill or Certificate III in Business.

Student Requirements

You must identify as a First Nations to be eligible for this role. You must also be enrolled at school and studying Year 10 or 11, and the school must endorse you to be eligible for a SBT.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual and black shoes, and uniform will be provided

Public transport available nearby.
