Based in Echuca/Moama, the team at GT Welding have experience in welding ranging from ARC, OXY, MIG and TIG with years of experience conducting work within numerous Industries. Specialising in structural steel and on-site service there is no job too big or small.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will be building on their general engineering skills, plan interpretation, basic welding and fabrication skills, working within teams and general workplace communication skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This placement will allow a student who is undertaking VETiS Engineering to build upon the skills they are learning in their program. Duties may include; basic welding, fabrication, interpreting engineering drawings and plans, safely handling various materials and use of hand and power tools. Students may be able to go out on sites for installation jobs.

Student Requirements

This position requires a student who is keen to work in the welding & fabrication area of engineering and wanting to gain experience in a business that services shutdowns, project management, plant installation & ongoing maintenance jobs.

Dress Requirements

Personal protective clothing must be worn at all times. This includes steel capped boots, enclosed workwear, ear and eye protection.
