Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will undertake the following tasks and duties:
• Serving customers
• Stocking shelves, general cleaning and visual merchandising displays
• Cash handling and operating the cash register / EFTPOS machine
• Wrapping gifts
• Undertaking administration tasks as required, which may include data entry, photocopying and filing
• Place orders for new stock as directed by the owner
• Making signs / pricing items

Student Requirements

Students must have a genuine interest in the retail industry, have excellent communication and 'people' skills and be confident to talk to customers.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual clothes. Students will be representing the shop in a customer service role, so must have a neat appearance.
