Skills You Might Learn
Some skills that you may attain in this placement will include carrying out measurements and calculations, the safe use of hand and portable power tools, safe use of ladders, the basics of wiring, installation and testing of electrical equipment.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Some typical duties of this placement will include working in roof spaces, under houses, on farms, shops and fire stations. Setting and packing up of work areas for jobs- both on and offsite, assisting to organise the work vehicle with tools, and electrical cables and stock.
Student Requirements
Student must be undertaking relevant OHS training as part of their VET Electrotechnology course.
Dress Requirements
