Banyule Nillumbik LLEN are looking for Business Admin or Community Services students who wish to hone their skills. Join our friendly, dynamic team, and you'll be given the chance to support various programs we deliver, such as L2P Driver Mentor program, Working Community, and School to Work (S2W). The student will assist with our marketing and media presence, facilitating events hosted onsite and in various locations.

Skills You Might Learn

Transferable skills attained include teamwork, communication, problem solving, time management, customer service, attention to detail, and data management, etc. Students will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills in technology including Word, Excel and Outlook, and other internal or industry specific ICT systems. Students will also have the opportunity to improve their industry specific knowledge.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During placement, students will have the opportunity to observe and assist with some or all of the following programs/roles;
- Reception, Working Community, L2P Learner Mentor Program, School to Work to Work (S2W) Program, Community Engagement. Several projects and events are run in conjunction with these programs, including network meetings, presentations, Stories From My Life, and school industry tours, presentations and celebrations.
Duties may include answering calls, data entry, social media, document management, setting up and packing up meeting spaces and events, printing, laminating, filing, shredding, preparing marketing materials, building presentation packs, updating contact details for partnerships, online research, collating and presenting materials, and other duties as directed by the supervisor. For interested students, there may also be the opportunity to attend onsite activities for some of these programs (in particular for Community Services students.)

Business attire recommended, to be discussed at interview.

Special Transport Requirements

Travel form may be required, in order to attend events and meetings. Plenty of parking available, office close to bus access.
