Skills You Might Learn
Students will learn correct techniques for using various hand tools. There will be careful attention paid to the use of equipment in a safe fashion.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will be involved in preparing vehicles for repair, using specialised body repair tools and equipment and general tidying of the workshop environment. Assisting with windscreen replacement will be a major part of the students working day.
Student Requirements
For this placement students must have successfully completed the OH and S module in WRS VCAL or have begun the OH and S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
The student will be required to wear safety gear, including dust mask and overall at all times.
Special Transport Requirements
Students will need to arrange their own transport to and from the workplace.
