This placement is in a very successful plastering business. It has an excellent track record in serving the Swan Hill region. The staff are friendly and helpful and management is very supportive of the SWL program. Students will gain from meaningful learning experiences and it will certainly be hands on. Students shouldn't miss this if they are keen on learning more about the trade.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will have hands-on practical experience as well as observe and learn from industry qualified and experienced professionals. This means they have the opportunity to learn how to work with tools and equipment used in plastering.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. They will work with other employees to assist them in their roles. Students will interact with work colleagues and work as part of a team. This will involve maintaining the worksite and assisting with gear and materials.

Student Requirements

The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VM or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy footwear

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to organise their own transport to work.
