Maroondah Landscapes is a bold and innovative Landscape Design, Construction & Garden Maintenance company managing both Residential and Commercial Landscape projects throughout Melbourne. This is a sought after opportunity to experience working in the Horticultural/Landscape Industry, with a professional team of Landscapers and Horticulturalists with years of experience.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain valuable industry experience in both horticultural and landscaping skills. Working in a team, communication with colleagues and clients. Students will participate in OHS processes and environmentally sustainable work practices.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be exposed to a variety of tasks and duties during the work placement. Horticulture tasks may include: plant identification, planting out, mowing, whipping, pruning and overall garden maintenance; Landscaping tasks may include: paving, carpentry, soil structure and drainage.

Student Requirements

Punctuality is important. The student will be required to travel in work vehicles with other staff from the Bayswater Depot to work sites throughout Melbourne. See Dress Requirements for further information.

Dress Requirements

Students should ensure that they wear :Steel capped boots, pants or shorts and a High vis shirt if they have one. A high vis vest can be provided.

Special Transport Requirements

The Bayswater depot is just off Canterbury Road so easily accessible by car or buses.
