Cohuna Retirement Village
The Village Cohuna, is a 45 bed aging in place facility, run by a local Board of Management. The Facility has been operating in Cohuna for over 40 years providing high quality care to its local residents.
The Village features couples rooms, non-dedicated respite, palliative care, secure garden and secure dementia beds.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Student task may include but are not limited to;
• Assist with day programs and activities
• Read to residents
• Assist with personal grooming
• Make beds, assist in cleaning
• Assist with meals
• Making teas and coffees for residents
• Assisting supervisors to deliver morning and
• afternoon teas (supervision needed for special dietary
• requirement)
• Read to residents e.g. daily newspaper articles – books,
• poetry
• Playing board games with residents
• Assist with wheelchair walks – (prior safety training
• required) assist staff with preparation of activities)
• Deliver mail to residents
• Change water in flowers
Student Requirements
• Suitable for VCE or VCAL student as only one day out of school a week. Applicants from year 10 and 11 welcome to apply.

Dress Requirements
Uniform supplied. Wear appropriate, comfortable close toed shoes.
