Typical Tasks & Duties
This placement will offer students the chance to attain a broad range of retail skills. They will have hands-on practical experience, while working in a real life scenario. Specific examples are working as part of a team, learning about placement and presentation of stock and learning how to assist customers to find items. You will be supervised by experienced and knowledgeable staff. Overview of skills:
- Customer Service
- Stock/Display Merchandise
- Stock Ordering
- Working in both Grocery and Deli
Student Requirements
This would best suit a student studying a cert in retail, business or hospitality.. Should enjoy working with people, be helpful, courteous and a neat personal appearance. They should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and willing to work as part of a team.
Dress Requirements
Black pants and enclosed shoes. Employer will provide tops. Employer has requested a neat appearance, hair tied back and minimal make-up for females.
