The Early Learning Centre in Riddells Creek has an opportunity for a local student that is currently interested in a career in child care. This employer is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded on a vision of giving children the best possible start in life through access to quality early learning, the staff engage children by using play-based learning that encourages the development of outcomes within the Early Years Learning Framework.

Skills You Might Learn

Students may have the opportunity to develop skills relating to the supervision of young children,. Students will also receive insight and knowledge relating to childcare policies and procedures. During this placement students will gain experience of working within a team.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be involved with supervising children, assisting with general routines eg; feeding, changing nappies and sleep time. Students will also be required to assist with general cleaning. Students will also support other child care staff.

Student Requirements

Must be willing to work with young children. Students must have a keen interest to work within the industry and a willingness to learn. Students must be willing to follow instructions and work within a team.

Dress Requirements

Student needs to wear black Pants (no sports leggings) neutral colour plain t-shirt or polo with no logo's and closed toe shoes.

Special Transport Requirements

Students must get their own way to the workplace.
