Through its two campuses at Cobden Technical School and Terang College, the school allows its students to access both regular school and special education.

Skills You Might Learn
The student will gain knowledge of programs and processes in this industry. How to engage and help organize students into their learning groups and help with their socialization will be part of the role. OH&S standards, rules and regulations in regard to the disability sector will be part on on the job training.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Disability support workers may help with the following tasks such as washing, dressing, eating helping with transport needs. This role will also include assisting with educational and recreational activities,encouraging students to engage in and support them in their learning and social activities.
The student who works in the disability sector needs to be flexible, patient and understanding and have a supportive and caring nature.The student needs to have an understanding and a commitment to the rights of people with a disability, be able to communicate and work with other staff members and be able to cope with the physical demands of this position.
Flat shoes neat casual clothes. No singlet tops.
Special Transport Requirements
Student to make own way to school.
