John is very passionate about medicines. His Pharmacy is into Professional Services such as interventions, home medicine reviews, webster packing, kidney tests, prescriptions on file, quit smoking and blood pressure checks.

Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain an understanding of and develop the basic skills related to working in the Retail Industry - Pharmacy Assistant.
Students will learn to work in a team, communicate effectively in the workplace, be punctual at all times, present at work in appropriate work attire, follow instructions, complete work with a attention to detail and adhere to OH&S requirements at the work place.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will observe and spend time under the direct supervision of experienced staff assisting with general tasks and duties relating to retail pharmacy sales.
The tasks and duties will provide retail skills for students to assist in a Community Pharmacy Retail outlet. Tasks may include customer service, observing register (point-of-sale) operation and procedures, replenishment of goods, merchandise and pricing as well as some warehouse operations work to receive stock.
The student may assist to prepare for daily activities, participating in activities as instructed, safely manual handle and use materials and equipment at the work area, clean and maintain the work area and apply OH&S requirements for the Retail Industry.
Student Requirements
Whilst the student is attending the work experience placement they are expected to:
• Show a genuine interest in the Retail Industry - Pharmacy Assistant.
• Be neat in appearance, maintain a high level of personal hygiene, willing to observe, listen and learn while working in our team.
Dress Requirements
The student must be well presented and groomed as staff work in full view of customers.
• Flat, non-slip, enclosed work shoes.
• Professional dress.
• Long hair must be neat and presentable, nails must be kept short and clean.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the tasks and duties carried out by the student, will be supplied by the Host Employer.
Special Transport Requirements
Student to arrange own transport to and from work.
