A placement opportunity exists for two enthusiastic students to work alongside an experienced and friendly builder with TMS Asset Holdings PTY LTD. Skills You Might Learn

Along with skills in alignment with your VETiS Construction course, the student will also have the opportunity to develop valuable transferable skills including communication, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, using new technology, learn to work independently and learn the trade.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The placements are for students interested to work in carpentry.

The students will be assisting with all aspects of carpentry in a building site. This may include setting out, framing, scaffolding, use of hand and power tools (under supervision), site clean-ups and building calculations. The student will be required to follow worksite procedures and assist with keeping a clean and tidy work area at all times.

Student Requirements

These two placement opportunities are best suited to highly motivated and organised VCAL or VET students currently undertaking related Construction VETiS. The students must be able to communicate orally, willing and committed to this type of work which is largely physical, manual work.

Dress Requirements

Steel capped boots must be worn and supplied by the students. Other attire including PPE to be discussed at initial visit / interview.

Special Transport Requirements
