The final goal being for you to come out as a fully qualified professional after the completion of your apprenticeship SBAT and secure a long-term career within the industry!

Skills You Might Learn
Complementing your existing skills, you gained from doing your SWL you will be trained in the following areas:
Commercial Window Glazing, Curtainwalls, Spider Fittings, Glass Facades;
Measure and cut, fit and install glass into window frames;
Glass & Aluminium Shopfronts;
Trained to use specialist glazing plant and equipment;
Trained - hands-on learning, skills and training
Good spatial skills
Good attention to detail
All while gaining your pre-apprenticeships certificate in building and construction
Typical Tasks & Duties
Your tasks while doing the SBAT will be as follows but you will be doing much more depending on the houseboat you will be working on at the time.
laying ply floor
constructing flybridge from ply
installing roof fascia
installing cladding and putting in windows
putting up stud walls and hanging doors
Reading Drawings
Moving Materials
Measuring, cutting, fixing, cutting off
Housekeeping
Window Glazing

You are reliable; dedicated and don`t shy away from manual labour
You can commit to the full term of your apprenticeship
