Skills You Might Learn
You will gain skills in Hospitality with an insight to the tourism industry.
You will gain exposure to both Back of House and Front of House operations due to the size and nature of the workplace,
You will gain skills of working independently in a small family run business gaining employability skills that can follow you anywhere.
Typical Tasks & Duties
You will be required to serve customer from the Cellar Door Café working alongside experienced staff. Duties will include taking orders – food service - making tea/coffee – clean tables – kitchen tasks.
You will progress to assembly and preparation of food, Barista work and planning.
You must have a genuine interest in Hospitality. You will need to be adaptable given daily tasks will vary as weather and season will determine the flow of customers.
You must be able to self-motivate and work independently on tasks instructed therefore require good listening skills.
You need to be able to communicate with customers and able to be on your feet for long periods.
Black pants and either black or white shirt. Closed comfortable shoes.
Neat and tidy presentation.
Apron and PPE will be provided.
Special Transport Requirements
Must be able to organise own transport to and from MacArthur. Travel Arrangement form to be signed prior to commencement of placement as travel on the property may be required
