Typical Tasks & Duties
Tasks may include assisting in room setup and management, greeting clients/families, creating enjoyable, safe and educational experiences for the children, assisting with food preparation, complying with health and safety procedures and learning from a mentor at the centre. Students may also gain experience in writing records, cleaning and assisting with regular daily routines.

Students may build skills in:
- Ensuring the health and safety of children
- Participating effectively in the work environment
- Providing experiences to support children's play and learning
- Supporting the holistic development of children in early childhood

Students may have the opportunity to develop skills relating to the supervision of young children,. Students will also receive insight and knowledge relating to childcare policies and procedures. During this placement students will gain experience of working within a team

Student Requirements

Student Requirements
Able to work with families with a culturally and linguistic diverse background. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Computer literate.

*** COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS***
It is now mandatory for all staff to be vaccinated, at least one dose by now and the second one by 26th November 2021. Note this will also apply to any interested students

Dress Requirements

Long hair tied back, discreet jewellery, closed toe shoes, suitable dress for working with children, to be discussed at interview.
