Sales assistant
Respecting and valuing others from all backgrounds, this SWL opportunity enables students to experience a retail environment, assist customers and work as part of a supportive team. This not for profit opportunity shop provides funds to support local charitable works providing for those in need with recycled clothing, furniture and other essential goods. This is a chance to gain important experience in the retail industry whilst also being exposed to the community services sector. Proof of vaccination will be required. Typical Tasks & Duties
Under supervision students will assist with sorting and organising of donated secondhand clothing and goods for resale, Assist with display of clothing and goods in the shop, Serve customers under supervision, Assist other staff.
Student Requirements
Punctuality is important. Students must be fully vaccinated.
This role involves dealing with people from all walks of life on a daily basis, so a welcoming personality is essential, as is an understanding and compassion for others.
Dress Requirements
Smart casual dress for working in a retail shop serving customers.
Special Transport Requirements
This store is located within a 2 minute walk from Belgrave Train Station.
