Port Philip Estate specialises in producing Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. They have a dining room & a cellar door kitchen. The estate also hosts weddings, celebrations & business gatherings. They also host luxury accommodation.

Typical Tasks & Duties
During your placement, you may undertake the following:
- Learn processes for greeting clients, customers and visitors.
- Answering a phone, transferring calls, taking messages, making bookings and answering questions.
- Provide a link between the cellar door, restaurant & accommodation and service areas.
- Service of food (not alcohol, unless over 18 and hold RSA)
- Identify OH&S policies and procedures in the workplace.
- Learn about food & wine preparation.
- Clear away and replace table settings.
- Polish and clean equipment.
- Clean and tidy work areas
- Learn more about food handling and hygiene.
Student Requirements
Students must abide by current COVID Safe protocols which also includes mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations.
Students must have a genuine desire to work in the hospitality industry and have confidence with talking to people.
Dress Requirements
This placement requires attention to detail and excellent presentation. Please contact employer for details relating to specific dress requirements prior to the placement commencement date.
Special Transport Requirements
Employer is not located close to public transport.
Student is to arrange own transport to and from the employer.
