This large company, based in Ringwood works throughout Melbourne building and maintaining, predominantly large domestic gardens. Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain valuable industry experience in both horticultural and landscaping skills. Working in a team, communication with colleagues and clients. Students will participate in OHS processes and environmentally sustainable work practices.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be exposed to a variety of tasks and duties during the work placement. Horticulture tasks may include: plant identification, planting out, mowing, whipping, pruning and overall garden maintenance; Landscaping tasks may include: paving, carpentry, soil structure and drainage.

Student Requirements

Punctuality is important. The student will be required to travel in work vehicles with other staff meeting at the Ringwood location to work sites throughout Melbourne. See Dress Requirements for further information.

Dress Requirements

Students should ensure that they wear :Steel capped boots, sun smart attire, hat, sunscreen etc

Special Transport Requirements

Must be able to get to the Ringwood location and will be taken to the work site with one of the employees. The travel form will also need to be completed.
