Latrobe Leisure Centre -Morwell
This opportunity is at a large community sports facility. The centre has an indoor heated pool and toddler pool, sauna, spa, gym, aerobics room, sports stadium and a café. Increase your industry knowledge by rotating through a variety of departments. Support staff as they provide excellent customer service to casual visitors and full members.

Skills You Might Learn

Communication, teamwork, time management and problem solving, using technology and customer service, this is an opportunity to increase your skills in alignment with VET Sport/Recreation or Fitness, including industry knowledge, equipment maintenance, water resources and first aid

Typical Tasks & Duties

Customer Service (reception, membership, etc) Aquatics (shadow pool life guards and aquatics teachers for school and fitness group, water quality testing and facility maintenance etc.) Fitness (gym, personal training, group fitness)

Student Requirements

Best suited to VCE or VCAL student undertaking Sport/Recreation or Fitness VETiS

Dress Requirements

Track suit/short and runners, will be confirmed by employer

Special Transport Requirements

Students need to make their own way to and from work placement
