A great opportunity has been offered in the Construction Industry – Plastering as an Assistant Tradesperson at S Trimboli Plastering.
S. Trimboli Plastering provide plastering services to Mildura and surrounding areas, including repairing cracks in plasterboard walls or ceilings, fitting and flushing plasterboard to new houses, home renovations and commercial work, insulating, ornamental cornice, ceiling roses, arch’s, suspended ceilings and more.
Our work involves unloading & handling materials, using screw guns, measuring tapes, hammers and other tools, mixing compounds then using custom tools to apply to joins and sanding. Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain an understanding of and develop the basic skills related to working in the Construction Industry - Plastering.
Students will learn to work in a team, communicate effectively in the workplace, be punctual at all times, present at work in appropriate work attire, follow instructions, complete work with a good eye for detail and adhere to OH&S requirements at the work site.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will observe and spend time under the direct supervision of experienced and qualified plasterers assisting with general plastering tasks and duties.
Tasks and duties may include assisting to plan, prepare and organise daily work, safely manual handle plastering materials, basic hand tools and equipment for plastering, safely use basic hand tools, assist with preparing surfaces for plastering, apply OH&S requirements for the construction industry and clean and maintain the worksite.
Student Requirements
Whilst the student is attending the work experience placement they are expected to:
• Show a genuine interest in the Construction Industry - Plastering (Wall & Ceiling Lining).
• Carry a Victorian Construction Induction Card (White Card), please note: The student will require a Victorian Construction Induction Card (White Card), prior to commencing the placement.
• Be willing to observe, listen and learn while working in our team.
Dress Requirements
The student will be required to present at work in the following work attire;
• Work pants.
• Hi visual shirt.
• Steel capped work boots.
• Wide brim hat.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the tasks and duties carried out by the student, will be supplied by the Host Employer.
Special Transport Requirements
Student to arrange own transport to and from work.
