Pierce Plumbing Services offer backflow prevention and maintenance, facility management - look after heating, hot water, gas appliance installations and maintenance, domestic and commercial building plumbing, roofing installation repairs and maintenance, water supply, fire services, drain blockages - video pipe surveillance, water jets, pipe cam surveillance equipment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be required to assist workers with all types of domestic and commercial plumbing works. Specifically, the student will be required to observe and assist as directed by the supervisor with installing and renovating bathrooms and kitchens, unblocking drains, repairing or replacing broken drains and installing new drains, carbon monoxide testing and gas servicing, disconnect and reconnect water heaters and gas appliances.

They will also be required to:

- assist with unpacking tools from the Van to the site and packing at the end of the day
- handing tools to trades people
- some heavy lifting and frequent kneeling will be required.

The student is expected to:

- able to follow instructions
- pay attention to detail
- possess problem-solving skills
- have good communication skills
- ask questions when needed to ensure understanding
- maintain safe practice at all times.

Dress Requirements

The student must wear work long trousers and long-sleeved shirt, dress appropriately for weather. Steel-cupped safety boots.

Special Transport Requirements

The student would be required to make their own way to the work site. The employer would let the student know where the work site would be.
