Njernda’s purpose is to deliver community controlled, holistic services and programs which improve the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual wellbeing of the Aboriginal Community of Echuca and surrounding areas.SERVICES PROVIDED:
Babies Room – 6 months (if working) or 1 year old to 2 year old
Toddlers Room – 2 years old to 3 years old
3-5 year Old Room – 3 Years old to 5 Years old
Afterschool/Holiday Program - 6 Years old to 12 Years old

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist with activities and programs
Read to children
Assist in maintaining a clean environment
Work with children to create a painting, story or creative
item
Prepare food if appropriately qualified (ie Food
Handlers)
Assist in feeding clients
Follow polices and procedures for allergy management
Follow polices in regards of sun safety for clients
Be aware of how to deal problem behaviours
Maintain a hygienic workplace

Student Requirements

Suitable for VCE or VCAL student as only one day out of school a week. Applicants from year 10 and 11 welcome to apply.
