Typical Tasks & Duties

During your placement, you may undertake the following:
Replenish point of sale areas ie: bags, register rolls, stationery
Dust shelving, fixtures and stock
Assist with packaging of purchased items
Refill floor stock
Liaise with other staff and customers
Learn the functions of a retail business
Re-order stock
Operate retail technology - POS, pricing equipment, scanners, EFTPOS
Learn retail procedures for EFTPOS, lay-bys, gift vouchers, refunds

Student Requirements

Students must have a genuine interest in the retail sector, be punctual and reliable and willing to work as part of a team.

Dress Requirements

Neat, casual attire suitable for the retail sector

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transport arrangements
