An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated young person to undertake a Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) Placement as a Storeperson. Typical Tasks & Duties

This is a varied role and students will gain experience in unpacking goods, repackaging and returning items, using software involved in stocktaking and inventory management, as well as general labouring and cleaning duties. The student will also have an opportunity to learn workplace communication, safe work practices and how to cooperate effectively as part of a skilled local team. Duties may include:
General stock handling duties
Assist with basic workshop duties
Use of basic tools and software relevant to trade
Picking orders, preparing orders for pick up or delivery

Student Requirements

A genuine interest in transport and warehousing is ideal. The student will be willing to learn new skills and take pride in tasks undertaken. The employer values good communication skills, teamwork, punctuality and initiative.

Dress Requirements

Clean, neat and tidy appearance with closed toe leather shoes (steel capped required when working in a warehouse), minimal jewellery, long hair tied back.

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transport arrangements.
