An exciting opportuntiy exists for a Work Experience Placement with TwistED Science in Echuca. TwistED Science thrives on curiousity, how things come to be, how they work, move and feel! Through interaction with their exhibits, you can explore all the fun of science through play. Their exhibits invite interaction with friendly materials, colour, design and space. The emphasis is on fun! They ensure every person of every age, ability and culture can be included.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain a variety of skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, problem solving, usintg technology and customer service. Other skills developed may be teaching and training approaches, learning to work in a range of environments, working with different behaviours and personalities within a group, and if required; teaching people of different abilities and building on your own self-confidence and presentation skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist facilitators in setting up and delivering activities to a range of participants. Students will work alongside the facilitator to help participants get the most from the sessions, which aim to be engaging and positive.

Student Requirements

Students applying for this position must have a keen interest in science and education. A positive attitude, being social and a love of all things science is a must for this placement.

Dress Requirements

Plain black shirt and pants (no leggings unless they are worn under a dress) and closed in shoes are suitable for this placement. The Employer may be able to provide a t-shirt with logo but will need enough notice to arrange.
