An exciting opportunity exists for a School to Work placement at Echuca College. While on this placement, you will work with experienced Secondary School Educators who have a wealth of experience in developing educational activities and programs.

This is a brilliant opportunity for students to confirm that teaching is the right career! Working with a variety of different aged children, you will observe classroom teaching, student supervision, planning and organisation. You will undertake a range of activities that will contribute to developing your skills and knowledge in education and care. These skills will include valuable general employability skills such as:

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assisting the classroom teacher, you may work with children in small groups or one on one within the classroom setting and undertake a broad range of duties, including:
Reinforcing instructions to students
Going over lesson plans
Assist with setup, delivery and pack up of activities and programs
When class is not in session, you may assist by entering grades or typing up class summaries

Student Requirements

The student will need to be mature, responsible, energetic, motivated and comfortable in a classroom environment

Dress Requirements

Students must be well presented and wear comfortable covered in shoes

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transportation arrangements
