They have the support of qualified and experienced tradespersons to ensure a project is completed to expectation and budget.
Skills You Might Learn
The student who undertakes this opportunity will be enhancing the skills and knowledge that they are learning in their VETiS program. This may include: OH&S specific skills, hand and power tools, calculations for the building trade, how to read a plan, site preparation, communication skills, working within a team, setting out, framing, and scaffolding.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will be assisting with all aspects of carpentry and builder requirements in a building site. This may include setting out, framing, scaffolding, use of hand and power tools (under supervision), site clean-ups, offering manual labour and building calculations. The student will be required to follow worksite procedures and assist with keeping a clean and tidy work area at all times.
Student Requirements
The student must be keen to learn the building trade, be punctual, willing to listen and learn, follow all worksite OHS.
Dress Requirements
Students must wear protective clothing, safety footwear (steel cap boots), ear and eye protection, hat and sunscreen.

Discuss site location with Russell and options of getting there.
