Style by Nature is a vibrant florist providing fresh seasonal flowers to the community, and catering for individual customers as well as events (they even work with the Premier and the Cabinet) Style by Nature are happy to host students with creative flair, who have a keen interest in floristry.

Placements are available throughout school year and are 5 days long with potential to extend if both parties agree.

Skills You Might Learn

Students attending placement at Style by Nature have the potential to gain the following skills: creating flower arrangements, maintaining indoor plants, communicating with customers, and working within a small team.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students completing placement can expect to: prepare and care for floristry stock, answer telephone and email inquiries, receive and store floristry stock, customer service, cleaning, general retail duties, arranging flowers in vases, cleaning returned vases from events, wrapping posies, assisting florists on the work bench, making centre pieces, and general admin tasks.

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in Floristry. They should also be enthusiastic and willing to learn, be punctual, with neat presentation and a polite manner

Dress Requirements

Students should wear appropriate clothing which can be discussed during the meet and greet.

Special Transport Requirements

Accessible via Public Transport.
