Manufacturing Technician
An opportunity to work in a leading and innovative manufacturing business. Trans Tank® International (TTi) is based in the town of Nathalia, a 35-minute drive northwest of the regional city of Shepparton in Victoria. The company have been manufacturing rotationally moulded polyethylene tanks for nearly 20 years to the agricultural and industrial industries.
It is a rotational work placement in which you would be working in the following areas:
• fabrication – assembling steel framework
• pre-assembly – bolting and assembling onto the framework
• warehouse – pick parts and jobs
• sub assembly – warehouse
• mould tanks

Typical Tasks & Duties
Rotation across 5 key areas.
1. Fabrication/preparation – steel framework
2. Pre-assembly – bolting onto the framework
3. Warehouse – pick parts and jobs
4. Sub-assembly – items stored in warehouse
5. Mould tanks
10 week rotational work placement; 5 key areas listed above x 2 days in each area.
Student Requirements
AVAILABLE FROM TERM 2 ONWARDS
Once a student ‘shares an opportunity’ with Teacher, then the company would prefer a Teacher to make contact to advise a student will be calling to organise an interview – please ask for Richard Southall at TTI.
Student organises interview
Attends interview, advised of role, key aspects they need to be aware of, including company values, confidientiality etc.
If appropriate, dates identified and Structured workplacement lock in for 10 week period over a School Term, incorporating 10 days; rotated within 5 key areas.
Dress Requirements
Students must adhere to the following dress requirements:
Steel cap boots
Long pants (jeans okay)
Polo shirt (in mould area – must wear long sleeve shirt)
Special Transport Requirements
VLINE train to Shepparton Train station
VLINE Bus transport from Shepparton to Nathalia
