An exciting opportunity exists for a Structured Workplace Learning placement at the Shamrock Hotel in Echuca, renowned for its friendly family orientated atmosphere, quality food and drinks. If you are interested in food and like being a part of a team, this placement could be ideal for you. As a kitchen operations assistant, you would be involved in basic food preparation, food storage, stock management and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. It is important that you are aware of strict hygiene, health and safety rules and requirements.

During this placement, students typical tasks and duties may include, but not be limited to:
How to store food products according to food safety standards
Assisting with keeping a clean and safe kitchen
General kitchen duties
Identifying and adhering to OH&S practices applicable to industry and workplace

Student Requirements

Students must be punctual, be great listeners, show initiative and have a friendly smile. Students must also have a genuine interest in hospitality.

Dress Requirements

Black pants, plain black top, closed toe shoes, hair tied back, no jewelry

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transportation arrangements
