An exciting opportunity exists for a Structured Workplace Learning placement at a premium salon in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable industry experience from industry leading, experienced professionals.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will gain an array of skills through their SWL placement with this salon. They will gain experience within the hairdressing industry; expanding on their understanding of products, industry operations, services, haircut methods and treatments. These will translate further into organisational, time management and customer service skills as well.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience through a range of tasks and duties.
Such tasks may include learning how to prepare clients for salon services and shampooing. They will also learn how to maintain a clean and efficient environment, as well as learning how to communicate effectively with both co-workers and clients. Students will additionally be expected to follow directives from salon staff, which may include administrative support.

Student Requirements

Students should have a genuine interest in the industry, be well mannered, show initiative and be able to take direction.

Dress Requirements

Students must dress smartly in all black clothing and ensure they have a neat and tidy presentation.

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transportation arrangements
