An exciting opportunity exists for a Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) Placement as a Kitchen Hand at Billabong Ranch. Situated on 390 acres, a short 10 minute drive just out of Echuca/Moama, Billabong Ranch has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family.
Skills You Might Learn
Students mayhave the opportunity to attain a broad range of skills while on work placement including general employability skills such as: communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning, organising and self-management.
Typical Tasks & Duties
During your placement, you may undertake the following:
Assist with menu preparation and stock ordering
Clean equipment
Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy
Learn more about food handling and hygiene, following instructions, working in team and working quickly, competently and safely.
Student Requirements
Students must come ready to learn and be reliable throughout their attendance. Students will ideally have a genuine interest in hospitality.
Dress Requirements
A white shirt, black pants and closed in shoes are typical to the industry and should be worn. Students must be well presented, with long hair to be tied back and facial hair kept neat and tidy.
Special Transport Requirements
Student to make own transportation arrangements
